Builders

Builders are a group of different chemicals which support the high performance of the product.

Good to know

Builders are adjusting the water hardness so that encrusted soil can easily be penetrated and then removed. Examples:

  • Complexing agents, e.g. sodium citrate. These are mostly organic substances which are able to lower the water hardness.
  • Crystal growth inhibitors like phosphonates are preventing limescale buildup.
  • Alkalinity sources like sodium carbonate and sodium silicate are adjusting a sufficiently high pH value.

How do we use builders

We use builders widely in our laundry and home care products. They are essential to provide a proper base performance and support the high performance ingredients
